How to connect our humanitarian work with the value of quantitative information? In this intensely participatory session we will explore the role of game-enabled experiences to help connect knowledge with action. Using examples from climate risk management, we will see how the Red Cross and Red Crescent has improved its work with communities, governments, experts, and other key stakeholders, turning data into practical results.
We will share examples from diverse sessions offered by the Climate Centre, from rural villages to the White House and from the Vatican to NASA. Seriously: we will learn while having fun.
The main session will take 60 minutes. An additional, optional 30 minutes will be available for brainstorming about applying the concepts from the main session to concrete next steps in a new game..
For: colleagues working on risk management, health, disasters, mapping, participatory processes, community-level work
