The Swedish Red Cross has built 290 local websites to enable our branches to communicate with their local target groups. Why 290? because it is the number of municipalities in Sweden. One page for each municipality, assuming visitors know where they are but not how we are organized.

In this session the team behind the local websites will demonstrate and describe the solution and share their insights from the process of launching these sites. It has been a project involving many parts of the Swedish Red Cross in both the technical solution that includes integrating CRM-data into the local websites as well as enabling volunteers across the country to generate their own content. We are happy to share this project since we know that other national societies probably face similar challenges regarding how to communicate locally in these digital times. There will be room for questions.

The aim of the session is to build know-how on web solutions in a local context.

We believe that this session can work for all levels – beginners and advanced. We believe that it could most interesting for web staff and people engaged in local communication within the national society.
