Digital transformation brings significant potential for us as an organization as well as for the various vulnerable groups and individuals we serve with our programs and services. Simultaneously, it is accompanied by various challenges that need to be addressed and overcome.

As approach to the developments linked to digital transformation, the German Red Cross established an In-house consultancy unit in 2019. In three competency centers we work on piloting and (eventually!) scaling initiatives together with local Red Cross units that incorporate new technologies and digital solutions; as well as support addressing organizational or strategic issues related to digital transformation.
