We will give a hands-on tutorial on how to use advanced AI techniques to automatically perform two common emergency-related tasks: mapping of affected areas and assessing damage to buildings. In particular, we will use deep-learning models (convolutional neural networks) and remote sensing images (satellite) to automatically produce operational maps. All models and data are open source, so YOU are welcome to try this by yourself!

We believe that AI will change the (humanitarian) world only when EVERYONE is empowered to use it.
