Presentation of the new Online Tracing and Pre-Case system developed by ICRC in collaboration with the Swedish Red Cross.

Due to the absence of a Pre-Case supporting system, National Societies spend a lot of time collecting and assessing data, organizing interviews, prioritizing, and evaluating all the RFL requests received through different channels.

With this new module fully integrated to the Family Links Answers (FLA) case management system, affected population will be able to submit their requests via online form and using a web portal to check the progress of their cases. National societies caseworkers will be able to easily register all incoming requests, exchange digitally with requesting persons, manage appointments (face-to-face and remote), scan documents and monitor and support volunteers engaged in the RFL-work.  

Identified as “Test and Learn”, this project will allow, as a part of CTA Digitalization Program, to test assumptions, learning from those experiences, then focusing on the areas that work and then extend practices to other RFL tools. The pilot phase will be launched in Sweden in May 2021.
