In April last year, we organised the first digital consultations on digital volunteering. We asked volunteers & volunteer managers how we can describe digital volunteering and asked for working examples. We compiled our lessons in this report.
These consultations coincided with the beginning of a new era. The global pandemic had urged us to reassess the way we work and interact with each other. It accelerated the use of digital technologies in our everyday, providing new opportunities and challenging established practices while also showing potential threats. Volunteerism, at the heart of all we do with the Red Cross Red Crescent Societies, makes no exception to this trend.
Now, one year later, we want to hear how you have been doing. What have you learned switching to digital modes of volunteering? What should be taken into consideration to promote digital volunteerism with NS and how can we support you?
